nice to see the (ex) big breakfast house now that it's lived in, (thanks for sharing the pic 'Whataday') it's nice of the owners not to hide it all from public view.

True, although all that barbed wire doesn't look hugely welcoming...

I can't say I blame them with gawping members of the public taking pictures.

No offense.

Good point, I wouldn't put it past some mr or mrs ignorant to just wander in with the kids and a video camera and invite themselves in to look around.

apparently there's a family living there so they do need security.

I'm sure Brekkie Boy can clarify - but I think that's rather an old picture taken when the house was standing empty. If you look at the windows in the middle, you can see fire damage where the house was torched by chavs (actually you can see it more clearly on the lightened version on page 21).

If you're going to be a smart arse try and get your spelling right.

How rude.

I don't think it's unreasonable for people to protect their property, but I can only conclude you disagree.

Ass.

I thought it was generally considered rude to criticise typing and spelling errors on forums, we are here to discuss TV things not show off how good we are at 100% super spelling.

anywya, Confused: oh what the heck I'm dyslexic, You may be wrong about the big breakfast house picture because the fire damage was done before the attic windows were put in. I've seen recent pics on a BB website

"How rude"? Given the general of debate on here, not really.

Guard dogs finally picked up your scent, then?

and the one I quote above, together with the highly amusing retorts to a genuine question I posed on here earlier are indicitive of the attitudes of some of the people on here.

For the record, this is a thread discussing tv studio buildings. You clearly have a problem with the point of discussion and the photographs contributed. Your contributions add nothing to that discussion. If you are the landlord of either the Northam studios or the former BB house, then do something to prevent people taking photographs of your property if you so object. If you're not then it's none of your business.
Your "amusing" one line retorts to people who take the trouble to take photographs and post them on here to enrich the debate taking place are far ruder than anything I've posted (and I speak as a recipient of your "humour" on other threads).

No offence.

That was intended and, as far as I am aware, taken as a joke.

That had nothing to do with me, although I must admit, even I was tempted to also give the obvious answer to your "why is that pillar there?" question.

The pic is quite a bit more recent than that.

When the (former) BIG Breakfast House (apparently now known as "The Cottage") was still standing empty, the current
owners (who bought the House from C4) hadn't started to build the new roof to replace the original one destroyed by fire.

As I recall, the current owners had already started moving into the sections of the House that were least affected by the
arson attack while the rest of the building had the fire damaged sections cordoned off for (rather obvious) safety reasons.

The middle windows now have tinted glass similar in style to the ones installed for the BIG Breakfast 1996 relaunch.
