I once had a VHS full of Chart Show episodes, but they inevitably got taped over with films (as did many tapes, which is a shame because you can now get all these films on DVD, while series' like The Chart Show are more than likely forever lost in the sands of time)..

We don't think. I had 'loads' of taped footage of that too, also the children's channel very original UK Gold, very early nickeledon, children's BBC, children's ITV, M2. still had it all as little as just 4 years ago Shocked but then came by great de-vhs movement all wanted footage got transfered to DVD and the tapes got thrown out Mad
What kills me most I know on one tape I had me 'recording' myself channel hoping up & down sky tv as it was in about 1993-1994, like I say the tape was still the bottom of my wardorbe 4 years ago

I do still have stored (on dvd-r) footage of BBC Choice, UK Play, [.tv], The Amp and Granada Plus tho (including idents etc)

You can add the Mary Whitehouse Experience to the list, although they are downloadable.

Apparently, 'Invasion' is set to kiss the floor. It has been pulled by the US producer.

Going back through the thread I noticed somebody said that Big Break was never going to appear again.

Challenge have picked it up and now air it at 8:15pm on weekends.

In all honesty I never expected Larry Grayson to grace our TV screens ever again. Challenge have picked his era of the Generation Game up as well, although it looks painfully dated.

how about one off events like 2000 today, solar eclipse, royal weddings, funerals, none are likely to be repeated again in full

neither are sports events, how about a complete rerun of the 1993 grand national?

I don't know - I'm sure that BBC Parliament has occasionally repeated a royal event in the same manner as their general election repeats.
