I used to watch Challenge Anneka as a kid. I remember everyone getting emotional when they'd finished the project in time and everyone was happy.

That'll never be shown again.

Night and Day Sad

Am I the only one who thinks its odd that this hasnt been repeated since it ended nearly three years ago? True it played out in a graveyard slot with appaling viewing figures on ITV1 but it was a *bad* show in any sense of the word, it just didnt suit an ITV teatime audience. Surely it would be ideal for attracting advertiser friendly teenagers/young adults to someone like Trouble, Living or even ITV2! I have a feeling Night And Day will get at least one re-airing, maybe in a couple of years time when its reputation as a flop wont precede it to as large a degree.

Night and Day is being repeated now unfortunately it's on the Granada Plus style channel in the Middle East called UKTV Granada, notice there are some other programmes on here mentioned in the following link

http://app.starselect.com/channels/starselect/starselectschedule.asp?channels=11

it looks like a good channel this UKTV Granada. it even shows Crossroads - at 11:03 am on the 7th of April! Strange time?

its a shame that digital TV in the UK is full of the same shows again and again - but other channels outside of the UK have really good old, classic programmes that would be great in the UK.

Since Granada Plus was axed, so many good programmes have been removed off British TV forever now! no chance ever of seeing classic corrie on British TV ever now! ITV3 is poor compared to Granada Plus. ITV should launch another channel, just like Granada plus but obviously ITV branded...........no i know what you will say, ITV launched ITV3 but lest face it, ITV3 is nothing like Granada Plus. It’s Sky who really killed off PLUS by selling it’s half to ITV. Iif Sky hate ITV so much, they would not have sold their half in PLUS and then ITV3 would not have been on the EPG in the opening night and few weeks, therefore the channel may not have got the viewing figures that it did!

Crossroads is gone forever I think.

You can add the Mary Whitehouse Experience and Newman & Baddiel In Pieces to the list, although they are downloadable.

Still, with the brilliant stuff BBC Four does you can never be too sure of what will get a repeat - who'd have thought the Blue Peter review of the year and a Panarama episode from 1973 would be repeated in full?

A lot of the stuff mentioned on here seems to be kid's programmes, Nick Jr. seems to be doing well with it's classic shows for pre-school children (enjoying the chance to see Rainbow again!), it's a shame there isn't a place out there for classic shows for older kids, there's plenty of great stuff in the archives that deserves an airing.

BBC4 repeat the mary whitehouse exprience, lee & herring Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

Altho I always had the idea that 'IF' a BBC5 ever did come along it be the only thing to specialise in 'old repeats' of stuff not usually shown?? - could share space with CBBC/Cbeebies for a few hours each night 7-10 or something

This is why they would never put people like me in charge of such things
