There got to a point where Living TV didn't want it, then the rights were taken by Sky One in 2001 or so when they relaunched their Daytime schedule, though they gave it a good slot, the ratings weren't spectacular, they carried on showing it until the end of the rights, albeit this was usually at about 4.00am most days. I agree shame it isn't repeated, time moves on....

Eldorado, well despite what some people say about it, the show has rather loyal fans still to this day (in Crossroads style), so UK Gold have shown it a couple of times, last time I saw it on Gold it was being broadcast at about 5.30am! So I wouldn't hold out much hope.

Night and Day Sad

Am I the only one who thinks its odd that this hasnt been repeated since it ended nearly three years ago? True it played out in a graveyard slot with appaling viewing figures on ITV1 but it was a *bad* show in any sense of the word, it just didnt suit an ITV teatime audience. Surely it would be ideal for attracting advertiser friendly teenagers/young adults to someone like Trouble, Living or even ITV2! I have a feeling Night And Day will get at least one re-airing, maybe in a couple of years time when its reputation as a flop wont precede it to as large a degree.

Eldorado.... I'm sure it could have worked had it not been "strangled at birth" by ITV!

Or, indeed, been utterly awful.

Or so blatantly PC at a time of national "Europhobia".

I vote for school-based BBC1 sitcom "Chalk"!!! - that's where I got my surname from! (I had my name legally changed in 1999 - even my first name!)

"Mr. Carkdale" was character in Chalk - he was a teacher who only ever spoke in swear words! Laughing

Not quite, it was essentially Fawlty Towers in a school. It was written by Steven Moffat (who wrote Press Gang, Couplin and Joking Apart*). I quite liked it too

The BBC have released it on a DVD, probably out of print by now though

*that's another series that won't be shown again, although it is getting a DVD release
