Eldorado.... I'm sure it could have worked had it not been "strangled at birth" by ITV!

Or, indeed, been utterly awful.

The Lee and Herring repeats in particular would be welcome - come on Beeb.

A couple of others which won't be repeated, but for slightly more obvious reasons - Heil Honey I'm Home and Love Thy Neighbour (although that's on DVD! Shocked )

Shafted. "Their fate is in each other's hands, as they decide whether to share, or to shaft"

And those poor contestants who never got to see themselves on it. Hope ITV sent them a video.

Dream on the BBC hated it, Stewart lee himself says it. The reels are in BBC archives somewhere rotting forever more. I have downloaded and watched them all again recently and in TMWRNJ they even put in jokes about how its never going to be repeated and they hope someone is taping them all for future use. (someone obviously did).

Aah, so I'm not the only person alive who remebers GMD! Very Happy

I vote for school-based BBC1 sitcom "Chalk"!!! - that's where I got my surname from! (I had my name legally changed in 1999 - even my first name!)

"Mr. Carkdale" was character in Chalk - he was a teacher who only ever spoke in swear words! Laughing

And now I'm "Jack Carkdale"!!!!

True but Stewart Lee actually named Jane Root as the reason why the BBC hated it - and as she was controller of BBC Two at the time, they weren't going to get a third series.

Eldorado does get repeats, usually on UKTV Gold.

The utterly brilliant "Profit" on the old Sky 2 in 1996.

Just been released on DVD and bought it - absolutely stunning programme and a complete shame it did not go past 8 episodes.
