A bit of a cut and paste job here cos I agree with many of you here:-
Knightmare
The Crystal Maze (Richard or Ed)
Noel's House Party
Family Fortunes
999
Blockbusters
Mr Bean (not the animated version)
Double Dare
Bruce Forsyth's Generation Game
Motormouth
SMTV
Krypton Factor
Spatz
Treasure Hunt
Wide Awake Club
The Chart Show
Bullseye
And now, for some of my own:-
Win, Lose or Draw with Bob Mills
CITV (with Jean Downes and Scally the Dog)
Run The Gauntlet
Ghost Train
Gamesmaster
Wycliffe
You Bet!
Fun and Games
And now...for a bit of comedy:-
Central Police 5 - with Shaw Taylor!
There were so many good programmes that have been discontinued that so easily could return to the screens and make great television!

Michael Grade is not the Controller now, he is the Chairman. He has nothing to do with the programs. Plus it was re-commisioned before he went back to the BBC, so even if he DID want to cancel a new show he couldn't.
If you don't believe me, have a look at www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho
Or look at a teaser trailer here : http://www.bbc.co.uk/cult/doctorwho/ram/nb/teaser_16x9_nb.ram

Futurama could end up returning, Family Guy (which is the best and funniest American Animated sitcom, IMO) was ditched after Season 3, but they're are now making Season 4 (or they've completed it), so Futurama still could stand a chance. I don't see why they had to ditch it, or Family Guy, they're probably among FOX's highest rating shows and those are two of the best Animated sitcoms ever, alongside The Simpsons and South Park.

The Krypton Factor
Futurama
The Terry and Gaby Show (I actually liked it!)
The Sketch Show (ITV's fault for moving it about constantly)
Phoenix Nights (M&P was nowhere near as good!)
News At Ten (The pre 1999 version)
Nine O'Clock News (There was nothing wrong with that!)
Bullseye
RI:SE (The 2002 version)
Can't think of much else, I could give an even longer list of programmes, but many ended at the right time IMO.

I used to really like The Simpsons but in recent years it's just been boring and just used as an excuse to get entertainment value from celebrity cameos! Little Britain included for gods sake!
Futurama was cancelled in it's prime, and as they said in the commentary on one of the DVDs, now that they are bringing back Family Guy due to great DVD sales, it could be that other shows follow, including Futurama.
In anycase, since Matt Groening owns the show, he could sell it to anyone, it dosen't have to be Fox.
