Long running series Countryfile has also had several themes.

Shocked Not the "original", surely?!

The titles/themes you've posted I'm sure are not the first few.

The programme started in 1988, and I'm sure had already got through at least a couple of other theme tunes prior to the earliest one that you have posted.

The titles that immediately preceded the earliest one you have posted, is the era that I most recall from my childhood.

Family Fortunes has had several. And luckily they've all been put together into this one video

The 2nd theme being the base for all the ones that followed.

As far I can recall, the music stayed the same, it was just the title animation that changed over the years. That Youtube clip apparently dates from 1992 and it was still being used until at least 1996. The butterfly logo was used for a pretty long time. Although happy to be corrected if anyone can remember otherwise.

"The 2nd theme being the base for all the ones that followed."

The All-Star Family Fortunes theme seemed to be very loosely based on that 2nd theme while still sounding somewhat different from it.

If they were to ever bring back Family Fortunes in it's original non-celeb format, I'd like it to have a version of the original Jack Parnell and Dave Lindup theme tune. That's the one I most remember from the early 80's on Sunday evenings at 7:15pm!

Millionaire had the 'upbeat' revamp, also a good example of a show which went through quite a few format changes over the years, different money tree, different lifelines, timed questions, couples playing

Regarding the Krypton Factor I always thought it was neat how in the 2009 revamp Sage put decent effort into making their sponsorship blend into the actual titles, but I seem to remember at the time sponsors got told off for doing so for some reason?

The problem wasn't the sponsor bumper itself, it was actually the tagline and another line used later in the episode that was the problem - the tagline on the sponsor bumpers was "train your business brain" and Ben Shepard used the phrase "contestants must retrain their brains" to introduce one of the rounds later on. It was that that was considered a bit close to the wind as it sounded quite similar to the sponsor message.

Not really a show but QVC the Shopping Channel did have one of the most iconic channnel signature tunes in the 90s (and I believe is probably one of the few TV channels to use a sung jingle with their name in). This ran from 1993-2001 until it was replaced with a watered down version of the doo, doo, doo's. From 2004 they used some sonic IDs and eventually dropped the lot in 2006.

I remember my Mum being a big fan of QVC and when they dropped the jingle she was thoroughly disappointed! Very Happy

The original piece of music featured in this clip I believe was from a production library and QVC USA got the sung jingle bit added to the mix. Sadly, it's one of those pieces of production music no one has been able to trace and has stumped many of us working in the production industry for years.

Here's the version with the jingle:

And finally there's a bit of the re-worked theme from 2:01 on this clip:

I dont believe that piece is production music, its never cropped up, plus PRS dont have the correct details for it. Mind you the menu used for the coming up is production music but again QVC jingle doesn't turn up in them, it goes all the way back to 1986!

Dont bother asking QVC there either dont care or want to whitewash it.
