I thought the small print on the Mulhern spot was pretty remarkable, stating that parents shouldn't leave kids unattended to take part in the competition.
Are ITV viewers really considered to be so stupid that it needs to be stated?
Much like "you're watching this programme on demand, please don't try to interact" and the omnipresent "Do not try to vote if you're watching on +1". Stark contrast to Channel 4 where where it just says "not available on +1", though that may have more to do with the fact you can see Channel 4's +1 DOG clearly as opposed to the miniscule one on ITV+1.
I don't know why Mulhern even agreed to be involved, there must have been more than a generous offer from Camelot!
Just watching some In It To Win It on YouTube after the sad news of Dale, and it is amazing how the Lotto gameshow host on the BBC used to have to dress up identical to their pre recorded show on a Saturday night for the live draws, fast forward 10-15 years and now the results are announced on ITV by some random voice clips saying the numbers! (I know they still do the draw machine on YouTube but still!)
Why did Mulhern agree to do it? The same reason anyone does any advert ever. It also raises his profile giving him a presence during ITV’s biggest show.
Seen the other ones so far but I missed the second part tonight but as adverts go there is a lot worse out there. I think we’re just annoyed as the impression given by the press was that it would be a in the vain of the National Lottery draws we used to get on the BBC, when in reality it’s just a commercial for the Lottery like any other but this happens to give the Lottery results.
This whole Race to The Numbers thing was a bit of a farce. You could clearly see the logo of the Lowry behind Stephen, so it was blatantly obvious.
Not only this, the T&C's say that Camelot and ITN are the hosts of this competition and not Camelot and ITV.
I’m not sure what you mean. If you knew the area you would have knew the buildings anyway. So I doubt the logo would have made much difference.
I understand what you're getting at, but the logo for the building which clearly stated the name of the building was prominent throughout the advert. So, if you could went onto Google Maps and typed that in you could easily get there before the 8:50 cut-off point.

It's almost like they wanted to guarantee people turned up

ITN are the producers of it so it makes sense that it says that.
