Thanks. I was watching on a tv with no rewind/pause capabilities. last night, so i couldn't stop and read the output screen labels on the stack for myself.
Studio/Stage TV3 as well. Back in the 'other' Lottery HQ!

There will be some people thinking they've stopped using a machine and now ask 7 random people in the street to name a number in order to conduct the draw.
I think if they're buying the slot they might as well use it for the draw - I don't think players really care too much about where the money ends up and even at 90 seconds making the draw a bit of an event again would probably make more commercial sense.

Is it a wise move considering the Syco shows are arguably the shows riddled with the most ad breaks, and more likely to be recorded for ad-skippable viewing afterwards?

If you missed the voice of the balls last night, they still did a traditional draw video for YouTube...
...which uses the actual Lotto brand, and the graphics/set of the draws from when they were on the BBC, resulting in a bit of a mish mash when the ITV stuff uses a completely different design!

Britain's Got Talent though generally one of the highest rated shows in the overnights all year for ITV, so however ad-skippable it is you've more people watching the ads in that than virtually any other show. And indeed for those who fast forward (rather than skip) that ads arguably a Lotto draw more likely to get people to stop and watch than a VT of a good cause with some numbers at the bottom.

ITV and Camelot could learn from TF1's Loto programme. Short, sweet and from a VR set.

It's what Camelot basically do with the online draw (posted earlier) which could easily be trimmed to fit a 90 second slot on ITV.
I do get the impression from the release earlier in the week there might be more to this in the future - probably just a Camelot funded show in the summer in an otherwise dead slot for ITV, but one more in the style of the BBC shows.

So Race to the Numbers debuted tonight. Shorter first ad with numbers in audio only from member of the public as Stephen Mulhern stood in front of a mystery location.
Part two airs after BGT and played out exactly like Sofawatch just with an instant cut off as soon as the winner spoke and nobody under 25.

Was awkwardly timed. Stephen was obviously going to close out the segment with a sign off but then it just instantly goes to the closing graphic.
