He's like the Andi Peters of the 2010's.

He seems to be everywhere, he seems to be available for every job going, but lacks any significant talent or charisma.

Nobody is hokding a gun to your head to force you to watch him.

Was, but isn't so much now. The running joke with most recent ITV commissions is even Stephen Mulhern turned it down.

I used to think Britain's Got More Talent was by far the best spin-off show around and Stephen Mulhern was a big part of that, but then around the time Catchphrase came about it seemed to change and became too focused around a caricature of Stephen Mulhern rather than the man himself, and I found it far less enjoyable as a result. However on Catchphrase he is much more himself and it's much more watchable as a result, and same with things like Big Star Little Star. He'd had a few flops over the years for sure but a couple of steady shows too, but still waiting really for that big breakout hit of his own that would define his career.

A bit harsh to say he lacks talent and charisma. Yes he isn’t Bruce Forsyth, but he’s perfectly good as a second tier host, and quite good considering the BBC’s go to host would probably be someone like Ore Oduba

He also doesn’t get every job going, that’s one of those false assumptions, like when people used to say every show was hosted by Ant & Dec, or in the next breath say that Phillip Schofield gets all the jobs, or Paddy McGuiness, or Keith Lemon...

Only if you watch a lot of ITV light entertainment shows.

I watch precious little ITV at all (light entertainment, or otherwise), so he doesn't even exist outside of Catchphrase for me. And I seldom even watch that.

Any perception of "<insert presenter name here> is on 'everything' " is always entirely down to your own personal viewing habits (and therefore such an assertion is always utter hogwash). Geoff McRent-a-Presenter might currently host 10 different TV shows, but if you/I/anyone as an individual doesn't happen to watch any of those 10 shows, then Geoff McRent-a-Presenter actually "isn't on anything at all"! It's entirely subjective.

I like Stephen, again I watched him growing up on CiTV, finger tips, quick trick and mom.

The National Lottery website suggests the live Lotto draw is taking place on its website / YouTube channel at 7:45pm on Saturday evenings - will the draw be repeated half an hour later during these itv broadcasts?

Can't be any worse than The Big Call with Neil Fox I suppose

As the original Camelot release said that the draw would be fronted by "well-known ITV personalities", doesn't this suggest that Mulhern is only the launch host for the first few weeks (probably due to his involvement with BGT)?

I'd never even heard of the guy until reading about him in here, and I don't think I've ever seen him on my telly, (I watch very little ITV these days)
