I tend to go for a scratchcard as an impulse purchase rather than lottery ticket - tend to do that online.

Will be interesting to see what they do in terms of integrated shows - presumably they'll stick it in BGT for 8 weeks then try something more specific over the summer. I think through various acquisitions ITV have produced a fair few lottery quizzes over the years and a new lottery quiz would possibly work better against the tail end of Strictly than most other things ITV could air.

Also of course potential to team it up with Who Wants to be a Millionaire.

Oh joy, Mulhern...

Confused

I don't even remotely begin to understand the seemingly strong dislike for Stephen Mulhern amongst seemingly many forumers.

Whilst I can perfectly understand why the likes of, say, Chris Evans or Jeremy Clarkson are very divisive and tend to be either loved or hated (I happen to like them both), I can't even remotely see why someone like Stephen Mulhern attracts such negativity. (Same goes for James Corden - Seriously, what's the problem, people?!)

I find Mr Mulhern to be neither anything special nor anything terrible, so fail to see why he warrants anything other than a pretty indifferent feeling amongst viewers and/or forumers. He's pretty vanilla and functional, but amiable enough I suppose. I doubt there's anything that any of you could say to me that will truly make me understand why he seems to be so disliked around here.

Yeah, they own 12 Yard, who make both In It to Win It and Who Dares Wins .

It was better when ITN did it...

It wasn’t appointment to view TV in the last few years but I guess there are some who miss it. I’m guessing they’ll be drawing in the same way Channel 5 draws The Health Lottery.

I can't see this being of much use to ITV, unless they're getting paid to show it.

The fact the deputy managing director at ITV Commercial welcomed the move, says that they are. As said, it'll be like those Health Lottery things, or the awful STV Scottish Children's Lottery.

I've always been a bit bemused by the reaction to him, as I grew up watching him on CiTV and he never came across more or less annoying than any of the other people who were presenting at the time. I think he has developed a bit of an on-screen character these days though, particularly on Takeaway, which may be what people are reacting to, rather than in the CiTV and Quick Trick Show days.

He's competent and entertaining given he's got the right vehicle. I think most people aim their vitriol at him because of how commonplace he is. He's one of the go-to people for ITV, where I think a lot of the people who dislike him would rather see some fresh talent or an older and slightly forgotten but more talented presenter get given a second chance.

I spy Pinewood's name on that monitor stack - I wonder if they've been doing the draws there even when they've not been live?

More importantly, is Deadly Alancoat losing his Saturday nights off?

Will it feature Alan Dedicoat?

I wonder ITV read TV Fourm and adds Stephen to everything just to annoy us?
