Most obvious example I can think of is Adam West as Adam West, the Mayor in Family Guy.
Many newsreaders appear in skits in films as well, such as Sky's Jeremy Thompson in Shaun of The Dead for example. On a similar note, Sky 1's You, Me and the Apocalypse featured I think it was News's Anna Jones as well.

Alexander Armstrong and Richard Osman appeared as themselves in Not Going Out when Lee and Daisy fictitiously made it onto Pointless.
Darcey Bussell and Kylie Minogue appeared as themselves in the Vicar of Dibley (and Wogan did in audio form in the Bussell episode I believe).
Alastair Stewart appeared as himself in the Coronation Street tram crash episode in the (old CSO yellow) ITV News studio.
Didn't Shirley Bassey appear as herself in an episode of 2point4 Children?

Elton John springs to mind as having appeared in a number of sketches for Morecambe & Wise specials and also in an episode of Absolutely Fabulous.
Come Fly With Me (the Lucas & Walliams series) featured at least one celebrity appearing as 'themselves' in each episode.
Chris Tarrant made a cameo albeit voice only in an episode of The IT Crowd during the first series. I can't recall if there were any cameos in the episode (series 2?) where Moss appears on Countdown.

Wasn’t there an episode if My Family where they went on the Weakest Link?

He ended up appearing on another game show hosted by Jonathan Ross with a similar setup to Millionaire.
Yes, the cameo I mentioned earlier.
I can't remember why it wasn't Millionaire, which party wouldn't allow them to use it in the programme

It was ITV who vetoed the Only Fools & Horses request for Millionaire. OFAH ultimately did something that looked like The Weakest Link instead.

Jeff Stelling and Rachel Riley were both in that. And Gyles Brandreth later in the episode.

Yes - Richard Whiteley also appeared in one episode. (Incidentally, so did Rolf Harris - so it will probably not be seen again).

There was an episode of The Detectives (Jasper Carrott and Robert Powell) that ended up on the Noel's House Party set with a cameo from Noel.

That reminds of that Magnum PI episode that featured Brucie posted elsewhere on here recently. Got to hand it to him the role wasn't much of a stretch for him but it was brilliant didn't feel too far from Bruce we know. It did sound like he was trying to sound American in parts but I think that's more down to the script.
