TV Newsrooms

What do you prefer?, virtual newsrooms like the BBC pre 99 newsroom or the current type where it has a more smaller cosier feel to it?
And dont you agree that whatever way ITV`s will always look horrible as theyve proved that in the past

ITV's news prior to the rebraning spree by network centre was actually very good. Uncluttered and not distracting as well as being good to look at. It is only the current ITV News that looks bad.

Ive never liked ITV`s or any of ITN`s for that matter

Oddly that doesn't suprise me.

I'll second that, the current itv studio is the best yet.
Secondly I much prefer real studios, virtual studios are awful, especially when making them very realistic so you can tell if its real or not.

How can you second something you disagree with?
Makes no sense to me.

I thought the itn studio used before the relaunch was excellent. Big blue walls which looked out over the huge atrium was really good. They now use it for the itn news channel, they should have kept the studio the same. they could have added a sports desk in the studio and changed the backdrop from blue to green behind the sports desk. i much prefer real news rooms to virtual ones as the current itv studio demonstrates, it never changes. i do like the itv news studio and the graphics are great, i just wish the background was real and not a still caption.

I seconded the fact that all ITV studios are awful BUT the current one is the best yet, I suppose I could have put an extra comma or two in to make it read better.

I think Mich is being hipocritical without realising it!
But you hyave to give credit to the people who create virtual newsrooms they do make it as realistic as they can

Hmm. I have agreed with someone, this is a sad day.
However, it was a nice studio yes, the way they changed the colour of the stripe for each bulletin was a nice touch too.
Actually, the ITN Building is a really odd place. I went there a year or so ago and it was really odd, with these great big 'things' hanging from the roof, very nice though, the food is horrible.

How many times! I don't really like virtual studios and I don't think ITV studios are very good, but the current ITV is their best yet (that is not that same as saying that it is good)

So what were you in it for anway?
