I've got a few old Central t-shirts knocking about at my parents' house - a couple with the diagonal rainbow logo used in regional pres only, and another with the cake logo.

I've also still got one of the large cardboard boards with a Carol Vorderman sum on it from when I went along to the shooting of Countdown in the mid 90s. I even got Carol to sign it for me. Very Happy

was it not a dry wipe board?

I have a set of original storyboards for a couple of episodes of 'Count Duckula'. Random but true.

When I went to a Countdown recording in February, it wasn't, basically it appears to be cardboard that's just pinned on, although on TV you would think it would be a whiteboard.

This shows how cheap it is... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ELJYIgZu2aQ

When we had a thread like this before, it included loads of images too. Does no one feel like taking pictures of their stuff this time round?

The old thread is here btw, some of the images are missing now though.

Did they rub the sums off it between each round or just replace the sheet? I guess there'd be too much glare coming from an actual whiteboard.

How do you rub things off a piece of card?

There's card you can get which has a smoother surface that allows you to rub marker pen off.

So with a cloth.

I'm pretty certain they just replaced the sheet.

I presume it's to reduce the glare of whiteboards under the lights or something

They did, yes. I presume each one was binned or recycled, hence why they didn't have a problem giving me a used one.

And to clear up any confusion, it definitely wasn't dry-wipe - just a normal piece of thin card with a grid printed on it.

Having said that, this was 1996, so things may well have changed since then!
