Hey all, am a new member to these forums, am a BBC addict who loves the buildings , and history and other TV regions , but wanted to know what the most unusual memorablia you have that you have collected.

I have a few , one being the One Foot in The Algarve production notes and map showing areas where they filmed and the villa they used (with exotic plants) for the place where they stayed which looked like a prison or so Victor thought.

The others are different things , a BBC brochure from the Henry Wood concerts, different script covers , or copies , and the most unusual of all is a strange big BBC sign that I bought on ebay like the rest of these things , that is unusual in the fcat I have no idea where it comes from.

Ha! ha!

I love everything TV and it is nice having all these things , would love to own something Thames , and LWT , I saw a poster was selling a Granada endcap and advertising it here , very unusual, but just a plain piece of cardboard to me , I suppose how they must have filmed that was put up against a camera somehow.

Ah I remember we had a thread like this ages ago.

I have a few little bits of TV & Radio memorabilia but nothing too special:

Thames: x1 enamel badge from the 80's, x1 sticker from the 80's, x3 pin badges with the 1990-1997 logo, a "21 years of Thames" book with an unusual Thames 21 Years logo & a Thames/The Bill compliment slip from the mid 90's with the 1990-1997 logo

Anglia: four badges: the knight on a horse badge, the abstract "A" badge, Match Of The Week badge & About Anglia Badge, also the "21 years of Anglia Television" book

Central: x2 Central clapperboard keyrings

TVS: three badges: one from early on in their reign, one for Coast To Coast & one for the ITV 1990 Telethon with both that logo & the TVS logo

Granada: One 70's/80's badge

Rediffusion Cablevision: One badge from when they were on air

ITV Telethon '88: A Bisto promotional mug for the ITV Telethon in 1988, complete with logo.

I won't bother listing the Radio stuff on here.

That's great Johnny! I love the idea of the Thames things! And the Anglia Knight badge seems very unusual but sounds brilliant!

Interesting, I never knew they were still making them like that in 1990, I thought they had all moved to laserdiscs by that point?

As for the Anglia knight badge, it was a rather unexpected turn up, glad I got it though, haven't seen another one since Smile

Oh, they were, Carlton did cardboard ones in 2001, Widescreen too. I got my Thames one at a car boot sale.

Sounds great! Still a piece of cardboard showing history to me though , bring on the better stuff and I might trade something with you , my BBC brochure of Henry Wood's Promenade concerts for something Thames-ish or BBC related like a prop from their idents or something!

...and The Big Breakfast from an episode in 2002.

I miss The Big Breakfast Sad worst decision Channel 4 made replacing that.

I don't really have much, got a couple of ITV Granada Programme Review's from 2004 and 2005, got the Official ITV50 book too. Still got my envelope and letter from ITV for the audience Tickets for Countdown that I went to see last month, can't really call myself hardcore in comparison here. Laughing

I've got a few old Central t-shirts knocking about at my parents' house - a couple with the diagonal rainbow logo used in regional pres only, and another with the cake logo.

I've also still got one of the large cardboard boards with a Carol Vorderman sum on it from when I went along to the shooting of Countdown in the mid 90s. I even got Carol to sign it for me. Very Happy

Interesting, what's this "Diamond rainbow Logo" you speak of?
