OK! Looks like you're on Pete Nash's side - he's suing The Sun re his Striker football strip - The Sun is the source that told me that the EU President - which could even be Tony Blair - will be the new figurehead of all EU states.

Yeah, but there was no threat of losing the Queen as our figurehead that time. Royalists will vote Tory, and that's the majority.

The monarchy has survived over a hundred years with it's continuing existance being questionable, and particularly over the last 50 years has dropped into downright irrelevance. If it can survive that, I doubt it'll go over this.

Only because the public won't be voting Labour at the next election. You just proved my point.

What has that got to do with anything? Not all monarchists vote Tory, my Gran is one and votes Labour, my dad is one and he votes Lib Dem. You talk such rubbish Spiring.

Huh! My mum used to always vote Labour - she voted Lib Dem at the last election. I couldn't vote at all, I was only 17. (I'm 19 now) Just what is the Lib Dems policy about Europe. the Euro, and the Constitution?

Still, I'm just glad the Tories haven't got a hope of getting in. The damage they'd do would probably be far worse.
They'll get power at the next election because they're anti-Euro and anti-"EU Constitution".

Yes, that party that signed us up to it in the first place ....

I sorry of this appears to be a witchhunt Mr Spiring, but so far today you have clocked up FIFTY FIVE posts. I think thats excessive by anyones standards. That works out at one stray thought every nine minutes. I have no interest in how you or your mother votes. Please at least contain yourself with staying on topic and NOT stating the bleedin obvious.

Anyway,

Cwathern, I think you may be factually incorrect about some of your points.

I seem to remember reading that you do not need a TV license to watch DVD's and pre-recorded video's purchased from high street stores, so, by implication, you would have a device in your house that was cabable of recieving tv broadcasts.

My original post stipulated if bying a black and white tv license but acutally using a colour tv is detectable , it would seem it probably isn't.

I'm not saying one should evade buying a tv license completely, but it is possible to reduce the tax by only buying a black and white license.
