For me it was the HTV intro that gave me the creeps, though I suspect this was more to do with the programmes I watched, such as Sky and Children of the Stones. Still makes me shiver even now.

I do know of someone who will not watch the BBC 2 Morris dancers ident, due to having a phobia of Morris dancers.

I seem to vaguely remember the chevron.
Anything with a synth-track used to scare me when i was a toddler. Mind you it was the 80's. E.g. The BBC Video titles! and the Thames fanfare before Rainbow!

I think I found the HTV music and the Tyne Tees ident scary.
But the scariest of all was the Open University ident - after the testcard ended, there could be a silence and a blank screen for what seemed like hours - then suddenly the OU symbol would unfold with the really sinister trumpet fanfare...
