For me it was the HTV intro that gave me the creeps, though I suspect this was more to do with the programmes I watched, such as Sky and Children of the Stones. Still makes me shiver even now.

I had a nightmare about the old Channel 4 logo once, though only because it was heralding my greatest fear, closedown.

Ah, it's that time of the year again, time for the annual "I was scared of the Chevron" thread. Smile

I do know of someone who will not watch the BBC 2 Morris dancers ident, due to having a phobia of Morris dancers.

That big yellow Yorkshire chevron at the end of Emmerdale Farm and Jimmy's used to give me the creeps!

Generic ITV ident with the dove, scrolling pictures and the clarinet music used in the 80's.

Used to scare the be-jesus outta me.

I seem to vaguely remember the chevron.

Anything with a synth-track used to scare me when i was a toddler. Mind you it was the 80's. E.g. The BBC Video titles! and the Thames fanfare before Rainbow! Shocked Laughing

I think I found the HTV music and the Tyne Tees ident scary.

But the scariest of all was the Open University ident - after the testcard ended, there could be a silence and a blank screen for what seemed like hours - then suddenly the OU symbol would unfold with the really sinister trumpet fanfare...

I'd better stop - nearly bedtime - I'll get nightmares!
