Well Martyn Davies mentioned something about Forums (I think he referred to ours!) on Meridian Tonight in February. I also think Martin Anderson sent an E-Mail to Sky News on a New Years Eve once, where he mentioned the Forum.
Other than those, Puffins Pla(i)ce and Liquid News I don't think TV Forum has been on TV.
When there was that whole thing with Jamez and him talking about a certain Sky News presenter, that got onto Media Guardian and Digital Spy.

About 2 years ago, Peter Dobbie was doing the newspaper review on News 24, and on the overhead camera which looked down at the desk, you could clearly see TV Forum on the computer screen!

It's not "companies" who log in, it's individuals.
Working in the industry they may well have a vested interest in what's discussed here.
And not every post is laughable Stabby, but I suppose it very much depends who wrote it.

One wonders why these companies look at this site. To get advice? I doubt it. To laugh at us? More than likely.

It's not the post itself usually. A post that you or I think is very interesting and thought provoking might be looked upon by an employee of a TV company as sad and pathetic. Why do they enjoy talking about such things when it's nothing to do with them, and more than likely never will be.
Anyways back to the topic. I've never seen TV Forum/TV Home mentioned on TV, but i've seen it in a few newspapers and online articles. Seen TV-Ark mentioned more than a few times too.
I've had the Tom Baker website mentioned in Radio Times every time they have an article about him in it. The frontpage one of him doing Monarch of the Glen had a nice advert for the site

Sure, some people take that attitude, and sometimes there are certain users who enjoy sneering at 'anoraks' - but there are also plenty of people who work in TV who are closet presentation anoraks themselves.
