I know this should go in metropol but my computer wont let me view TV Forum in internet explorer because my spybot software has detected the "Adviva" spy download (which is bascially a website where it can nick information from your PC) and looks like its coming from the ad banner at the top of the page, which has the word Adviva in the url. I say yes to block the download but cant continue to view TV Forum in IE.

Just thought i'd let you know

Thanks

Well, that's not actually true in this case! I've just run my Spybot software and it's picked up the banner ad classing it as "Tracking cookie or cookie of tracking site", along with ads for just about every other website I visit (many will be familiar with ads from ValueClick, FastClick, HitsLink, Commission Junction, BFast and Advertising.com)

Don't know why the site won't load in IE anymore - many block the banner without a problem.

Cheers, Asa

I generally use (and recommend to anyone else) BannerBlind to block out any unwanted adbanners,
and I regularly (without any extra software) clear out all of the ad related cookies from my browsers.

Ah OK, I was told wrong then!. I've been viewing TVF in Netscape 7.1 and it dont seem to detect anything. But IE Seems to.
