Wow that was a long time ago! My memory of this is slightly hazy to say the least, what was it all about? Did I just have a sig that everyone copied or something?

Have you got links for both the BBC power cuts & July 7 threads please?
I'm not being morbid(in the case of the July 7 !), but I would like to read them again, but I can't find them in the archive thing!

Thanks to everyone for their comments! The birthday is on Wednesday but I thought I'd stick the animation up a couple of days either side.
It's been a bit of a rollercoaster at times but the site still stands and while people are happy to talk pres, I'm happy to run the site. A public thanks also to the mods for their continued help and everyone who continues to read and post here.
Some memories there Billy! I've got a fair few threads scattered about my hard drive which I really need to convert and upload one day. It's on the list!
The September 11th thread is here

The forum wasn't around for the first but the second is available here. Both threads certainly make interesting reading with hindsight and I'll try and get more of them up, in XML and in the Archive one day...
I did try to find talk on the BBC One rebrand and the QM's death a little while ago but all I found was a rogue thread talking about 'the other site' so I assume that was when this site was having problems and either YoungJournalists or Hedgehog Online took over?

Pretty much. Eventually an entire thread was started about it in The Lounge.
Great to see both this and the 9/11 thread again! I'd have probably contributed a lot more on that power cut one, but I was in Devon at the time (still managed to record bits on video, though).
