Who was that troll who ran amok over Metropol for a weekend in late 2003?

I think my first post here was to comment on Peter Simon's visit to Channel 4's The Salon. I hadn't seen him on TV since the Double Dare/Run the Risk days. Laughing Of course, he's now on bid tv etc.

One of my highlights has to be the 'Newsroom: All newsreaders wearing black' saga. Laughing Never have I seen a thread grab so much attention without meaning anything.

One of my saddest moments here was the thread on the death of Richard Whiteley - well loved, and certainly missed.

I remember Katherine, what happened to her?

5 years. TV Forum is certainly making a name for itself now.

Happy Birthday.

Does anyone remember UKTV games? His posts were hilarious! Laughing

Can't believe this thread has gone by and not a single person has thought to mention Lee Bedwod!

There was another troll (whose name I forget) who put song lyrics in his posts and kept on saying "asa please can't ban me".

(A bit
like the
one just
now who
keeps posting
like this!)

Needless to say, Asa did ban him! Laughing

Well, I've only been here for 4 months, but I'm so glad I joined. These are the best forums for TV presentation.
Happy Birthday, TV Forum.
And well done to the team behind the success of the forums.

Thanks to everyone for their comments! The birthday is on Wednesday but I thought I'd stick the animation up a couple of days either side.

It's been a bit of a rollercoaster at times but the site still stands and while people are happy to talk pres, I'm happy to run the site. A public thanks also to the mods for their continued help and everyone who continues to read and post here.

Some memories there Billy! I've got a fair few threads scattered about my hard drive which I really need to convert and upload one day. It's on the list!

The September 11th thread is here

Well done Asa. If it wasn't for TV Forum, I'd probably have to do some work or something every afternoon - what a horrible thought.

On the subject of troll memories, Winifred stands out for me as one of the most irritating, if only for his gushing, slightly Barry Bulsara-esque adoration of Natasha Kaplinsky.

Funny seeing people saying "trying to tune my TV in" - seems so ancient! Laughing

I had just started Year 11 on my final year at school when the attack happened. I remember just finishing a science lesson and a friend telling me someone had bombed the.... White House.

Perhaps a 5th anniversary chat night would be in order?

I'd be happy to host one on the Wednesday, in between nipping out the jazz night I enjoy so much. High brow. Nice.

It's only worth doing if we get a good turnout though. And Nick Harvey is NOT exempt.

Possibly the wrong place to ask, but is there any chance of getting an RSS feed setup sometime? ie. a list of most recent topics in each forum. Might help reduce bandwidth / congestion at busy times.
