Wasn’t there a crossover story arc between Empty Nest, Golden Girls & Nurses? All three series aired on NBC on a Thursday night consecutively and were created by Susan Harris. I think the story involved an impending hurricane about to hit Miami.

They could have had one this week. Gemma and Chesney have gone caravanning to a Yorkshire village called Somethingdale where there's a muddy field full of cows, a corner shop, a garden centre, and a pub full of crusty old geezers.
I'm surprised that there hasn't been a Corrie / Emmerdale crossover by now.

To be honest, there probably will do a Emmerdale/Corrie crossover at some point. It’s the sort of gimmick that’s becoming more popular now.
The soaps have acknowledged the existence of each other in the past. After the Emmerdale air crash, a headline seen on a newspaper in Brookside referred to the tragedy. Mal Young was involved with both soaps at the time.
On Corrie’s 50th (or it might have been 40th), Dot Cotton in EastEnders was heard to say she was off home to watch Coronation Street - a way of congratulating the other show on its achievement.
I’m sure a character from Footballers Wives went to prison and turned up in Bad Girls, and a characters from Brookside have turned up in Hollyoaks, and vice versa.

Although not quite the same, I think that one of the direct to video specials of Emmerdale that were released in in the late 1990’s has Ken Morley playing Reg Holdsworth.
I’m surprised that they haven’t tried to do a crossover or a drop subtle hints, such as distant Mancunian or Yorkshire relatives, or the Rovers Return and The Woolpack being part of the same chain of pubs.

I remember Jane Rossington (Jill from Crossroads) made a brief appearance as a wedding guest in Brookside, introduced as ‘cousin Jill who runs a hotel in the Midlands.’
There was also at least one Brookside/Hollyoaks crossover, with the character of Matt Musgrove leaving Brookside Close and then turning up on Hollyoaks. I think he was in both soaps for a couple of years each. Sadly the actor, Kristian Ealey, died a few years ago in his thirties.

Wasn't there a crossover of at least one character in Footballers Wives going over to Bad Girls?
The Bill and MIT (Murder Investigation Team) following Matthew Boyden's murder.
Of course there was the Comic Relief special with some of the cast/characters of Corrie appearing as themselves in Eastenders and vice versa.
Didn't Kasey Kasum do some sort of crossover with Save by The Bell and his radio show?
Not quite a crossover but Richard Wilson appearing as himself in Father Ted, with the cast taking the mickey saying 'I don't believe it!'.

A few years back there was a two-part crossover between CSI and Without a Trace, both shown on CBS in the US but on Channel 5 and Channel 4 over here. Because you have to watch both episodes to follow the story, the channels came to an agreement where they were both able to show both episodes.
Can't mention crossovers without mentioning Detective John Munch, the Homicide: Life on the Street character who then appeared in Law & Order and had appearances in The Wire, The X-Files, Arrested Development and was mentioned in Luther. And then, of course, there's the Tommy Westphall Universe.
