Is there no hard-and-fast rule on what the two YTV sub-regions should be known as?

Well, on the ITV Yorks Local website, the subregions are referred to as "North" (Duncan and Christine) and "South" (Gaynor and John).

Also, why are there three Meridians (E, SE, and S)? Presumably one of them is strictly an advertising sub-region? If so, which geographic areas do the three relate to? Is it the "South" or "South East" version of Meridian News that has two advertising sub-regions?

Meridian South relates to the area covered by Rowridge and Midhurst.

Meridian South East to Heathfield

Meridian East to Dover and Bluebell Hill

The 'South East' news opt is on both the East and South East ad regions.

South news on Rowidge and Midhurst.

However on terrestrial ISTR there's another advertising region called Sussex, that's carried on Midhurst, and the Brighton relay. Confused ?
