With it being 2020 I sense there will be lots of Top 20 related shows and lists come out. A nod to the 1920s too perhaps??

Most of them will be on Channel 5, and repeated after a few weeks under a new name.

Disney XD and some Disney/Fox/Nat Geo branded channels will close due to low ratings (Disney XD in particular, which is already the case in some countries) and Disney+.
Sky will sign a distribution deal with Disney for Disney+ much like Canal+ in France. Much like Disney Cinema in France, Sky Movies Disney could continue and is not affected by Disney+.
Virgin Media will drop all SD channels where a HD channel already exists as everyone on Virgin now has HD capable equipment. This also includes Channel 5 as it doesn't have regional advertising. It will take Sky a few years to make a similar move, but they will be mostly pushing their new internet TV service.
Some BBC One English regions will finally have HD feeds, starting with London, West Midlands, North West, East Midlands and Yorkshire and Lincolnshire.
Discovery will close Really, as they already have TLC.
Sky Comedy will launch using Universal TV's old transponder space.
Sky will finally sell their stake in the Paramount UK Partnership (Comedy Central)/Nickelodeon UK at the request of an expanded and reformed ViacomCBS UK and conflict of interest in Sky Comedy.
AMC will sell their stake in the CBS channels, at the request of ViacomCBS.
Some local TV channels will need rescuing.
VH-1 UK will have no replacement, not even VH-1 Europe.
More synergy between Channel 5 and the rest of Viacom's UK operations as the head of Channel 5 is now also has responsibility over Viacom UK's other pay-TV channels.
Britbox will be a flop, BBC will focus on their UKTV channels instead.
Virgin Media will start experimenting with DOCSIS for some channels instead of using DVB-C, as mentioned, Sky is making a similar move by offering channels over the internet.
Cartoonito HD will launch.
Sky News will go ahead with their regional news service.

Wouldn't it make more sense to start with the regions that have HD galleries already? Those are London, North West and South West.

Yeah, of course, basically any region that's ready for it.

Adding another prediction I didn't mention before: That's TV will collapse. They've lost control of the former Estuary TV twitter account and it's still embedded on the That's Humber website, and they're now simulcasting CBS Reality for most of the day, which is redundant as that channel is already on Freeview.

I think 5 Star might be on its way out as it is now - I think it will be replaced by another Viacom channel and the recent rebrand feels very... interim - although this might be the sign that it’s going to get another new look or something.
As I say every year I think Local TV is going to collapse - perhaps all together now though; hopefully anyway!
I think there’s some sort of branding brewing for C4 too - it’s 5 years since the last rebranding next year and ident wise, it’s felt like it has limped to this point - I feel like there might be something going on there. And then you have the music channels that are going to be rebranded blah blah blah.
ITV2 - huge channel especially increasing in recent years - I think there could be a refresh in that case because it is getting a tad tired.
This is all of course highly speculative; and what I think might me just me talking out my ass!

ITV2's bosses probably don't see the point in rebranding at the moment... not when it's uncertain how much longer the weekly ITV Creates idents will last. If ITV was to change it's corporate logo then obviously that would mean all the channels getting a revamp. Not much point spending money on new idents if they can't be sure they'll get a few years use out of them.

I think it's based off the corporate logo, which didn't change, unlike the main channel ITV's logo.
I predict a new ITV Studios endcap in 2020. Current one has been around since 2013, so surely overdue for a refresh
