If Disney moves everything to that new pay platform I think they will be making one big mistake,

Disney XD Europe, Middle East & Africa operations are interesting because they have recently (earlier this year) been unified schedule-wise, something happened last year with Disney Junior Western European operations (this year even other EMEA operations have been unified); be careful though, only schedules, with some local opt-outs, have been unified, not the whole operations, although some have been merged, like Disney Junior and Disney XD in France and Germany, à la ARTE
Only Disney XD Netherlands (because of its importance as a FTA channel, timesharing with Veronica) and Disney Israel operations (because of their insularity) have been spared

This is quite odd for a British channel. BTW, the graphics, the promos of these new "pan" channels are created in-house in the UK

So, this move makes understand that Disney XD should remain as such and not close down, in the UK and likely elsewhere
The US is a very different marked compared to most European ones (and I very doubt that Disney XD in the US will close down, especially as Disney XD is on a higher package than the main Disney Channel in the US, so it's understandable DC US wants to showcase the best of its stuff on the main most watched channel
BUt this is not problem for countries like the UK, Germany and Italy, where these channels are on the same Family package

I wonder could we see Disney close Disney XD worldwide? It is closing soon in Australia and Disney have moved shows from Disney XD to the main Disney in the US.

In Australia and NZ the channel has never been successful because it launched too late

I wonder if we will see any channels close due to a lack of broadcasting licence after Brexit.

Ofcom decide against changes to the Crown Jewels and which channels qualify.

Do you think there’s a possibility if they expand them to include any FreeView and FreeSat available channel NBC may try to sublicense a portion or all of the games from Discovery and run the mandated ones on their FreeView channel while saving some for Sky viewers?

Or when Discovery’s time is up in 2024 try to get them? NBC and the IOC are very friendly and their contract runs through 2032.

1. BBC One ditches Oneness
2. BBC One gets new idents
3. BBC One will not be looked down upon again

There will still be those that will moan that oneness was better than whatever replaces it.

On a related prediction...
TV Forum users tune in to BBC One at 1am on 1st Jan to see what the ident shown before Still Game, as for the last few years the Christmas presentation has ended. This will be followed by a series of posts on here either about Christmas presentation still being used for New Year's day, the outrage over the return of Oneness, or excitement/criticism of new idents.

Any news on MTV Rocks returning next month? According to the Sky EPG, there's a programme called "Music Sounds Better With VH1" starting at 6am then followed by every number one of the 80s on Thursday, every number one of the 90s on Friday, every number one of the 00s on Saturday and every number one of the 10s so far on Sunday. So I'm guessing that it could be replaced by a new channel called VH1 Music.

If so, this makes Kerrang! the only rock music channel left.

And was never actually missing in the first place. The paperwork is discovered intact in a secret bunker under a structurally unsafe church after its demolition, while the physical archive turns out to be at Leeds and had been for the previous 15 years. Challenge announce on Facebook they've "got the rights" to 1986 Catchphrase and various other things they've been after for years, while Disney push out Fraggle Rock on DVD with the Fulton Mackay inserts. People everywhere rejoice, and they rejoice more when it emerges Motormouth wasn't actually wiped. Wink

It looks as though MTV Rocks programming returns on Friday 4th January according to the Virgin EPG, with a programme at 6am called ‘MTV Rocks is back!’

ITV2 will rebrand by the end of the year.

They'll be a bit of a mini-shuffle on BBC Network News with new hosts for the One and Six.

"TVS Archive" will finally be added to the swear filter on TV Forum.

I can imagine VH1 Music replacing MTV OMG (since, in reality you've already got like 7 other channels and MTV OMG is literally MTV Music 2) because OMG just seems to be a way for Viacom to ditch the VIVA brand in all other countries.
