TV Channel Predictions 2018

Reith, lots of Reith.

Tried to be realistic...ish.
E4 to refresh/rebrand their presentation (the abscence of of the E-Stings competition among other things makes me a bit inclined to think this)
Local TV collapse of some form
Sky perhaps to give FOX UK a higher spot on the EPG during the reshuffle
Sky to refresh Sky One again? current presentation seems very interim like.
BBC channels to rebrand/refresh later on in the year with the full roll out of the Reith font

With Scripps sale of Travel Channel and Food Network to Discover this gives Discovery 2 extra slots on Freeview. Discovery shows may start showing up on Travel Channel? Or could they rebrand under the 'Discovery' name?

What do you think Sony are planning on doing with TruTV going forward as True Crime has the crime angle covered? Or what will it show as the US version is more of a reality comedy channel with shows like Impractical Jokers (Most of these shows are already on UK TV already). Is Ice Road Truckers a free to air premier? What other first run series are on TruTV other than AGT? Ink Master?

My predictions:

• Sky Two becomes Sky Bravo and a rival to 5Spike
• Sky spends an extra 35p and gets some half-decent idents for Sky One
• BBC One ditches "oneness" - PLEASE!
• Channel 5HD becomes Channel 5 HD on the EPG (it sets off my OCD)
• The Sky EPG reorganisation is as good as it sounds

After Disney acquire 21st CF, it'll be up to them if they want to buy the rest of Sky that they won't own. There's no point in Fox pursuing Sky now, when their share of it is included in the sale to Disney.
