How will the new Paramount Channel do when it launches?
It won't. Didn't they announce 5PRIME instead?

It has never been stated anywhere that 5 PRIME is a replacement for Paramount, any chat about it has been pure speculation and nothing more. So until Channel 5 or Viacom come out and say it explicitly, Paramount is still launching in 2018.

Well if you'd like to believe that that is fine. Wrong, but fine.

Actually, it has never been explicitly stated that 5Prime is in fact Paramount Channel, and the supposed source that people are relying on, is in fact conjecture, not a statement of fact.

Could Sony launch Sony Channel on Freeview as they have launched Sony Movie Channel?(they are willing to use 'Sony' brand for a free channel) It's like a poor Freeview channel as it is. For a 'Sony' branded channel it's very poor and it's ratings are extremely poor also. Maybe Sony Channel could replace TruTV on Freeview then move AGT over to Sony Channel?
Will Eden remain as only an SD channel in the future or could they close it entirely?

Thats not half bad idea, But I surprect TRU Crime will replace TRU TV on freeview with any non crime shows going to to the other two channels.

Sony Channel's ratings are poor, because they are only on Sky. They run scrambled, but Free To View, for Sky subscribers, meaning that the channel can't be on Freesat, nor available to be picked up on non-Freesat equipment. Sony Channel isn't on Cable or Freeview either, so unless they can get out of whatever deal they have with Sky that keeps them sky exclusive, their ratings aren't going anywhere.

Why would Sky have a deal which keeps Sony Channel Sky exclusive. It's hardly top quality?

Probably to keep it off Freesat mainly.

And I already have. Can you point to the press release from a verified source confirming that Paramount isn't launching?

ITV becomes ITV1

May I strongly suggest you request your name to change to "skyQhater1"? I think that's the only way you'll realise just how pointless and ineffective your wish actually is.

ITV Encore to close

We already know this is going to happen so it's not a prediction.

I predict
Paramount won't launche and 5Prime will turn out to be the same project.
Another funding crisis at Community Channel
Premier Sports becomes FTA or closes with content moving to FreeSports
Ofcom allows local channels to drop local news commitments essentially forming quasi-national networks and closure of local studios.
