I’ve been looking into getting a new TV Card for a while now. After having the Hauppauge WIN TV USB for a while now, I’d like to get a digital terrestrial card (freeview). However I’ve never been keen on the WinTV2000 app and from the reviews of Hauppauge stuff about at the moment it’s obviously not changed. So, does anyone have a card they can recommend? I’d like it to be a PCI/PCI-E card as opposed to USB/External. I don’t mind if it comes with/without a IR Remote. I’m looking to spend around £50 or so.

Thank in advance...

I've been looking into getting one myself to replace my WinTV USB and I can seem to find any that match the quality of Hauppauges range.

I could be wrong but I don't think WinTV2000 is used for their Freeview/Satellite cards as it's designed for analogue television. I know they used to have different software, but they might have since switched to WinTV2000.

In the terms of alternative software, I've always used Showshifter which is very good and matches many of the features found in Media Center. The downside is that you have to purchase it.

Only advice I have is to give Pinnacle a wide berth - if you thought Hauppauage's software was bad you ain't seen nothing yet...

Thanks for the advice... I've got for the Leadtek WinFast DTV1000T on the strength of its reviews, paticularly http://www.pcpro.co.uk/custompc/labs/34/digital-tv-tuners/products.html

I don't think it can be purchased any longer.
