Yes, I brought my TV Card in Tottenham Court Road only yesterday, for £44.99, though I won't be able to test it until I get back home! With it I will be able to watch television through my computer (up to 16 channels simultaneously!) and also capture still pictures and videos from tv channels (meaning I will be able to do what Asa and everyone else do to put those RealMedia clip on their sites.
It's a Hauppage WinTVGo; but I can't tell you if I like it or not yet because, as I've already said, I'm not on my own computer yet. Get back to me on that one.
Asa also has posted up a tutorial on how to capture videos on the website, would anyone be kind enough to post the URL (I can't be bothered:D )
At PC World you can buy the Hauppauge WinTV Premio Card for £49.99 (Which is what I want to do, but my parents won't co-operate!)
It comes with a remote control, is tuneable, plays 16 channels at one, plays in stereo and has teletext As far as I know it's easy to install/use, and works fully well with Real Producer.

Thanks for the replies. Looks like I'll have to go to PC World and get one then. To be honest, I thought they'd be more expensive than that!

I have a set of rather irritating parents too.
They flatly disagreed to let me install anything, until I went out and bought it when they were at work, installed it and then showed them.
They actually think it's rather good.
I've always been confused as to why Teletext is so much faster, well instant actually, on TV Cards.
Presumably the processing power?
If you want something easy to install then get the USB version.

Can I suggest that you don't purchase these products on the high street, because there is always a HUGE markup on them. I always recommend Dabs.com - that's where I bought mine from! I also purchased a new hard disk, an MP3 player and a printer through them and they have excellent service, 3-day delivery for FREE, and near wholesale prices. I think the WinTV Go is £39.99 incl VAT there - don't quote me though!!
Here's the Hauppauge shop on Dabs. Click on the http://www.dabs.com/images/buttons/ibut.gif to view more info and http://www.dabs.com/images/buttons/buy.gif to buy it. Simple!
Good Luck!
They certailny are cheaper than a new TV, well worth buying one.
I always used to miss a lot of decent TV if I was at the computer, not any more though!
BTW, it's only the basic version, but it's the only free one, cos the Pro version is $199.95!!!

Don't let the idea of being able to watch 16 sixteen channels 'at once' dupe you!
With the Hauppauge software, all it does is tune to each individual channel in your stored channels, and shows a still from said channel at 1/16th the normal size. This continues from left to right, top to bottom until you have 16 stills on screen (which takes about 16seconds), at which point it starts at the top left again!
You
don't
have 16
moving
images at the same time!
Also -- don't forget to go straight to the TV card manufacturer's homepage on the net and download the very latest drivers. Always a good idea with
all
new hardware.
