Our old friend TV Burp is to appear Down Under from tomorrow night on Channel Seven. http://www.tvtonight.com.au/2009/07/ed-kavalee-hearts-tv.html The presenter isn't a stand-up but I'm sure they'll be a decent writing team behind him. As we know, the quality can all but often depends on the programmes shown that week. Be interesting to see how must freedom the network gives them, ours has always been good at giving ITV a kicking when deserved.

Supposedly they're going to be talking about Masterchef which got epic ratings for the final this week.

What about The Chaser's War?
Personally I think Harry Hill makes TV Burp and can not be beaten.

I know Sky have been after it, but I didn't know Rupert Murdoch was this desperate! Wink

I find bits of it funny, but not sure why BBC Four couldn't have bought something like The Colbert Report instead. Probably this is a lot cheaper to import than Colbert, I suppose.

The BBC4 controller was taking questions on Richard Bacon's Five Live show afew week ago and 'The Colbert Report' was brought up. He said if enough people emailed him requesting Colbert on BBC4 he'd look into it.

Watched TV Burp tonight, it had some good moments, but overall the show was a bit weak

Given that he said he'd never heard of Stephen Colbert and said this: "Well, I do know of it but I don't watch it very often ... What's it called again?" about the Daily Show in the same interview I don't expect it to be on BBC Four very soon.

Seemed to zip through a load of shows pretty quick but I'm not surprised when you've got 3 ad breaks in 30mins! It's hard watching it without thinking of how much better Harry would have done it. (He's credited in the show as TV Burp being devised by him).

TV Burp did alright on it's debut, grabbing just over 1 million viewers, so far reaction has been mixed.

Definitely shows how much Harry Hill brings to the show: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zucQyIdqT68
