Interested in the reference to "Channel TV" in the below news item from the BBC News Page. Is this the Jersey based ITV company or can there be two "Channel TV's"?

Independent productions for ITV are always managed by one of the francisees, in this case Channel.

I find it laughable how TV Burp gets an earbashing and yet the original programme has nothing happen to it. Pathetic.

Channel TV do the compliance for a lot of ITVs independently made programmes, and they make a lot of money from doing so. The British Comedy Awards are also one of theirs

ITV PLC don't give them it to do.

It makes sense in a way, Channel are the smallest company and very limited in their potential income so why not?

Harry Hills TV Burp is actually an Avalon Television production for ITV.

Where Channel Television come into it I have no idea. The programme has never been made by/nor commissioned by Channel Television.

The BBC website seems to be incorrect on the details. Channel Television have said that Harry Hills TV Burp is not connected with themselves, except in way of Broadcasting.

The BBC need to check their stories before publishing them.

Actually, I think you do before going round on your high house.

Well done, TV Burp IS made by Avalon. Good. But each independent programme on ITV, as said above, is given a complience francisee in the ITV Network to oversee their actitivities and take the flack for things which have damaged the show like today. In this case, Channel TV is that francisee.

I presume the original show was not shown at tea-time and had suitable warnings?

Not sure, I'm sure if there is such a place (which I'm doubtful of) someone on here will be able to say. Channel TV do a lot of it, and the name 'LWT' still comes up.
