There is a Daily Mail article about Killer Karaoke, stating it's coming to the UK via Tru TV this is despite the fact it's already been shown on the just as widely available Challenge and it's based on a UK format so it's really nothing new to UK audiences well apart from those that haven't seen either version, but EastEnders is new to anyone who hasn't seen it.

If anything, Brits would be more attracted to his surrealistic comedy. It's not like we haven't produced our fair share of it!

True, but then most Brits very likely wouldn't understand any topical jokes about the likes of Rob Ford, the crack smoking mayor of Toronto, Chris Christie, the tubby Governor of New Jersey, or Donald Sterling, racist owner of the LA Clippers.

Are US centric jokes unique to Conan though?

Not really ... there was a skit on Conan's show not too long ago, where he visited the Guinness brewery in Dublin, but only becuase he wanted a free pint of Guinness. Partly (or mainly) because he's Irish American, and enjoys Guinness!

Conan O'Brien is on a promotional assignment for truTV UK in the UK this week, and was being interviewed on LBC Radio today, and will be on Good Morning Britain tomorrow. Also, according to an entry that was posted yesterday on truTV UK's FB page, Conan is attending the launch event for the channel on Thursday night, with a Twitter based competition to be a guest at the event.

Apart from Redneck Island and The Mr. Conan Show, isn't everything on this channel already shown on existing channels?
