Is it still neccessary to point out that they are NOT CHAVS? Chavs wouldn't have the ability to do all that stuff, they'd be too stoned or drunk Smile They're just a bunch of (probably middle class) dance students, performing something a little bit like break dancing, which should never be associated with chavs anyway.

Too right - they're not chavs, I think you'll find that they are actually...erm...tumblers? I don't mean a glass....definition in this sense seems to be a gymnast who performs rolls and somersaults and twists etc.

Most Chav's in Romford don't even know the words "Please" or "Thank You" Just "Mine" & "Benefit" Wink

Distrubingly enough I saw a family of chavs (Mum, Dad & 3 or 4 Kids) in London's QUEENSWAY Shocked which is a very posh area indeed

I may be wrong but I'm sure I caught a rather odd soundtrack on BBC ONE NI's version of the Tumbler ident late night during the week, with Michael Selby announcing.

Same soundtrack, different part of the symbol... or so I'm told! Wink

Nearly got the Crotch Shot here in NI earlier, just a bit short of it after The Politics Show. Quite a nice symbol, I've not noticed it in primetime much so good to see it get an airing after dark!

erm....sorry, complete idiot here (as many of you remember from last summer) can anyone explain what the crotch shot is?

I know it isn't for this particular thread, but I thought Tumbler was meant for daytime programming. I saw it last night at 22:20 intoducing a film!

Not sure if anyone has ever explained it, but I have some idea..

The last second of the ident has the bloke with the black cap perform a double flip directly towards the camera, such that the very last frame of the shot shows the crotch area, because he is so close-up.

I've seen it introduce a number of the late-night films around that time. If the announcer goes on about the film plot and cast I'm sure there has been a few fairly long showings at that time.

No such rule. Use it whenever you like.

No, you're quite right, but it wasn't the original soundtrack, it was the current version of the symbol but he just started it about halfway through. Apparently some of the other Belfast Con Directors are prone to late-night naughtiness too, if you keep your eyes/ears peeled... Very Happy

You say halfway through. Does that mean that they cut short the beginning part of the ident (similar to BBC TWO)? I wish they'd do that to some other idents - most of the better shots are later on after what is normally seen.

Yep, that's about the size of it!
