The channel is not worth bothering with anymore since they relegated Conan (the only show that was worth watching on the entire channel) to the early hours, then dropped the show altogether.
The channel is essentially a flop, especially since it has barely been listed in any of the TV magazines.
But it gets better ratings that other channels of it's type.
It gets triple the ratings that YourTV gets (which is absolutely awful by comparison). It barely struggles to get 30k viewers for it's top rated show of the week. Tru has broken the 100k mark a few times for certain shows and it's highest rated show of the week is usually around 80-90k.
I like Tru's stule of showing 4:3 content with pillarboxes, despite they are SD only, and the DOG stays in the black pillarbox area. Other channels move the DOG to be in the 4:3 safe zone so it is still plastered over the image in some form.
Plus, that "new look" is just the letters TV now italicised and the dot moved a bit higher. They probably thought it wasn't worth bothering to change it since it looks almost identical still, and I'd have to agree with them. Wait until the US one changes again (which will possibly change its look more drastically) and then modify the UK one to match.
