The trouble with EastEnders

How old is Dot supposed to be? I know June Brown is about 80 now.

What gets me is, we're supposed to care about this storyline?

Ratings were bad, again last night

Eastenders........ 7.8m (46%)
Emmerdale........ 6.2m (39%)

This is not bad for EastEnders or Emmerdale as the share are normal for Emmerdale and high then normal for EastEnders, 46% is EastEnders highest share in weeks.

Loving the ghost of Pauline Fowler story line. It has some real comic potential!

Moving on, another APALLING ending. As someone quite rightly said, why should we care about this storyline? Tonight's ending was simply amazing in how crap and mundane the scripwriting has become. I take great pleasure in watching UKTV Gold and enjoying the original and beautiful scripwriting ten years ago or so. Comparing old episodes with the new is an extremely interesting persuit as the show has become to unregcognisable over the last few years.

Tonights ending was rubbish yet again! It didn't have any relevance in my opinion. The best soap episode tonight was Hollyoaks.

The producers obviously don't care about this show anymore. If they did, tonight's poor excuse for an episode wouldn't have aired. All the creators care about is the money.

Who cares exactly about this Dot storyline? I also hear next week she is going to find a baby in a church and adopt it. Yep. Happens every day in real life that one. 80-year-old woman finds baby in church, then adopts it. Stuff realism hey, EastEnders. As long as you writers keep raking in the dosh, just stuff us viewers who want a piece of good telly

More crappery to back it up included: Stella forcing Ben to admit glueing together Phil's account book (didn't know he had one). I'm quite literally lost with this Dawn thingy now. And Helen, or is it Sarah, or Rebecca, oh sorry, Libby, decided to post herself on the internet. The geeky faced slapper.

Oh no musn't forget that. And news just in, that EastEnders are actually going to go full blown realism next week and actually introduce ghosts as regular cast members (OK, I'm only joking, but it wouldn't surprise me )
