Ah yes but this is obviously only an elaborate temporary studio right? This one was from Camden - when the real TRL UK was supposed to be coming from a purpose built studio in Leicester Square?

What a show!!
Absolutley brilliant - love the studio (although it could do with a window like TRL USA - is it temporary?).
I love the animating logo - very american yet very British at the same time!
Pity MTV doesn't broadcast in widescreen - it'd look a hell of a lot better.
That stage was good as well - with the massive t r l letters.
All in all - great presenters, great set, great guests, great competitions, great graphics and fantastic show!

yeah, watching the repeat on MTV Hits right now, very slick, especially for the first show.

Dave Berry is excellent. Bigger things coming for him no doubt.

Im just glad that his voice got a bit deeper throughout the show; the high pitched ness was a bit too much for the start; and when watching it back i liked the boos that seemed to be coming from that outdoor balconey toward the blazin squad whilst the girls in the lower circle cheered!

I like the idea of having more rock in the chart; was there any? And that Timberlake song is his worst yet!

What was TRL:NOT like? Did it have any different graphics or presenter or was it all scroll bar?

MTV|2 could do with another presenter to Zane Lowe; though he is a good presenter he just does everything.

The MTV at the premier was quite good; good production from MTV; even though it had nothing to do with music!

As someone suggested once with them being a MUSIC TeleVision channel perhaps they should try and bag some of the festivals for next year; they could cover them a lot (though they may have to have a big brother type delay for swearing if they show it live!).

The new lot of presenters have been very good so far; but havent been used much. Dave was good on TRL; Emma was good on TRL (and links) not so keen on that Steve bloke they have presenting afternoon links with her!; Alex Zane is a good presenter, so is Tim Kash of MTV News; though MTV News could be a bit better with a backing bed so its like a news report even though its music news! And wasnt Abbie Eastwood supposed to be presenting stuff on MTV when they revealed the new presenters?

Shows: TRL is good; and from what Ive seen of it MTV Mash that I saw late at night where they remixed music that wouldnt usually go together; they mixed foo fighters one by one with an R n B track; it did sound good!

Would people like to see a breakfast show thing? Its good to see that they are repeating TRL at 7:30 am; so that when I have to get up there's stuff to watch; but I'd like to see a music big breakfast style show on MTV; a bit like radio's breakfast shows where they do items and phone ins and drop in a song from time to time.

MTV UK could be inivative and drag ratings high; hopefully if TRL get good ratings bosses may re think the channel and bring more UK made shows forward!

thank goodness the foo fighters are also there!
I was gonna say, that's Dave Grohl in the first picture! They're on a UK tour at the minute, they're doing something for Radio 1 tomorrow and they headlined at the V Fesitval in Staffordshire and Chelmsford last weekend too.

They rocked the V festival; my first and apparently the best! Im certainly going again next year!

I liked how he had tickets to give away for the radio 1 gig and mentioned radio 1 on MTV.

Nice to see them in the UK

Which one did you do? Weston Park? I was there, man! Foo Fighters and Colplay were the best there. I think V2002 was better than this year's fesival, but not by a long stretch. I think this year's do was let down by having 10,000 more people there than usual - there really was TOO many people there this year.

Yeah I was at weston park. It was a resonable number of people I thought; the only problem I had was when queens of the stone age played we were closer to the front and people were pushing; we were usually middleish and then two blokes started moshing and knocking everyone flying!

The only problem I had was the litter & toilets! I couldnt wait to i use my own again; luckily I only live 2 hours away; it would be quicker if i didnt have to use the bus! The litter was everywhere; I only hope they can clean it up for next year! Though there were no bids in the arena from what i could see; no wonder there was all of the litter.

It was great to see people like coldplay, the foo fighters, ash, and red hot chili peppers (though Im sure there was a problem with their speakers!).

I still dont get why the bands finish at 10:45! Oh well. And I hated how when I got back all of the emphasis was on chelmsford with all celebs going there and the tv coverage from there! I dont know how they are gonna beat this years line up; unless they get all of the same bands back, now that would be great!

Yeah, but Dave Grohl thought we were more rowdy - and we had the Dave Grohl effigy complete with penis. Very Happy

I thought Virgin Radio could have done a bit of their 48 hour O.B. from Weston Park, although I believe there's a Nickelback video from V2002 doing the rounds on Q that was filmed from Weston Park - a friend claimed we're all on it but I'm yet to see it. I don't think that Chelmsford has the funfair though, and from the maps Weston looked better laid-out. The litter was really bad this year though, and I know what you meant about Q.S.T.S.A. - just a bit mad! I was at the front for Nickelback last year, man that was fun! Confused

Getting back on topic.....
Show 2 was just as good...I know the M in MTV stands for Music, but I like the way they only play small clips of the videos in the chart. It makes it a lot less boring - especially if you don't really like the song.
I also like how they 'surprise' the audience with great giveaways - today some girl got tickets to see Christina play live in New York(?)
