Anyone else enjoy this show as much as I do? Originally shown on Channel 4 in the 80s and now being repeated on Challenge TV. Anneka Rice was the real star of the show. Wish Chatsworth would consider a new series.
cool show, of course if a new series *was* made it would have to be tampered with with new technology. Wouldn't be the same. And Anneka's getting on a bit, and remember how it was when Anneka left before the last season
Bring it back with Philip Schofield as the main presenter and Denise Van Outen in the helicopter (replacing Anneka Rice's job). And put on new graphics and music.

With the advancements in communication technology, I believe Treasure Hunt would be a huge hit again. I'm sure there must be loads of fit would be skyrunners out there to replace Anneka and Annabel. There was talk within Chatsworth of a possible revival, but nothing has been confirmed.
Anyone got any piccies they wouldn't mind emailing to me and I'll return the favour?

I think Treasure Hunt holds the record for most TV Forum threads being dedicated to it.
Good show though - Davina McCall would be perfect for the job if it had a revival
Yes, you're right. I remember my first ever post on this forum was in a Treasure Hunt thread!
BTW: Davina would be great but I heard it was axed cos of safety aspects and could not be brought back because of the strictness of regulations these days - you have to remember Anneka did do some dangerous stunts - anyone remember when she jumped into the English Channel to get a clue from a submarine? And then there was the helicopter with no door!
Yes, I think they have since banned helicopters with no doors - in fact you don't often see vans with those sliding doors at the side nowadays.
But Treasure Hunt doesn't necessarily need the host jumping out of a helicopter into the sea. I reckon it would be just as good without all those spectacular stunts she did. You could still have the Red Arrows flying past the helicopter or her abseiling down a cliff for example.
In fact, someone should write to Chatsworth.

I did and got no reply.
I e mailed the BBC about it and they said they had no plans to commission a series.

I have to say that unfortunately Chatsworth seem to be very bad at replying to fans' letters. I wrote a letter to them way back in February and didn't receive a reply. I have since emailed them and sent another letter - again with no reply. I think it is extremely poor (not to mention bad manners) for Chatsworth, considering they wouldn't be where they are today if it wasn't for the fans' loyalty to the show. Channel 4's ratings were exceptionally high thanks to the success of Treasure Hunt.

Yeah, I thought jumping out of a helicopter into the sea was pretty stupid anyway... fun though! I'm suprised they even allowed it back then!
