That's one tradition that definitely should not change!! It seems BBC2 is turning into a dumping ground for stuff BBC1 doesn't want and then any successful BBC2 shows just get cherry picked by BBC1. This doesn't help the channel at all.

This is the whole spirit of TOTP being killed off, then.
TOTP has never been about being credible - and when it's tried to be, it's failed. It's a place where the good songs commonly sit along the naff. The biggest problem with TOTP these days is that it's so formulaic. There's no surprises, there's no "must see" element - it's stale, it's predictable, and pretty much dead in the water.

It is true, TOTP is gettng another make-over - this time no singles chart just album chart, new presenters, they are ditching the annoying pop tunes like the bloomin' frog and Mcfly - should be beginning of November.
a new logo and theme tune are being worked up - somebody said theme by Oasis but am not convinced by that fact - but would be good if that was the case.
