Well a move from Friday to Sunday and from One to Two is certainly saying something....personally i think it'll be gone within a year.

Why is Reggie now being classed as an 'occasional co-presenter'? I can't see anything wrong with him...

Anyone fancy going to see TOTP in London tonight?

First act Phil introduces as being at number 9, yet the astons say '10'. Whooops.

A few changes to TOTP; none that will gain any more popularity, but the set has been altered slightly, perhaps permanently for now. The bed has been jazzed up, and there was a new v/o for the rundown. (who? its not JK or Joel is it?)

There's an interview going on atm, which is scarily reminiscent to the original reaunch of "All New Top Of The Pops". Uh-oh...

TOTP 2 have been kind of incorporated, what with an archive TOTP peformance, and those who remember the show will recognise the "fact" astons which pop up during an act, another introduction that i'm not sure they're going to pull off.

...and those into their music, a surprise Number 1 tonight!

Hmm so far currently at the interview and I'm thinking that unless they make the show longer to 45mins the current format won't work well. Still seeing old music reminds me of how good it was and how crap some of the current songs are. Great to see Madness on TOTP. Cool

The voiceover man is James Cannon, of Capital FM fame. Although listening to him you might think someone's died. Very sombre voiceover, and where is this show going? No thread, and no real buildup to the brand new chart which is the point of it being on Sundays at this time! Madness and Charlotte Church on one show - who's going to be interested in that! What a waste of time!

Apparently Jeremy Clarkson is co-hosting next week! He who on Top Gear says he hates all modern music! What a brilliant idea Laughing

Andi Peters has just brought the same people over from T4 - James and Margarita doing the voice over ... and I notice it's Tony Gregory directing (anyone old enough to remember him on Motormouth!)

How many lines did Fearne fluff up in one show? Seemed to be every link...did I hear "tonight o'clock at eight" at one point? She must have been very nervous but seeing as they do it leave every week anyway it was surprising.

I thought she recovered quite well, though - she didn't make it look like it bothered her too much. I didn't think it was a big deal.

The show itself was slightly better than I had expected, but I'm still not sure who they're aiming at. I'd rather it could decide what it was - I agree that there aren't that many people who are going to be interested in both Madness and Charlotte Church - I know they are trying to aim at the "family audience", but these days this is an audience which is incredibly hard to gain - mainly as people don't really sit down as a family and watch the same programme together anymore. IMO they should stick to modern music - I don't see why TOTP2 as a seperate programme has been discontinued.

The changes to the sets were quite nice - liking the projection screen with the TOTP logo.

7pm on a Sunday evening on BBC2, up against Emmerdale, I can't see it getting very high ratingswise. The show's move didn't even get that much publicity.
