I doubt that there'd be sufficient material from sources other than TOTP that could be cleared for rights easily and compiled into such a programme.

TOTP2 did used to occasionally feature clips from other programmes (Old Grey Whistle Test) and even official promo vids (Bo Rap for instance).
Least this BBC4 programme didn't have Steve Wright's nasal drawl over it

Could be... although Mark Radcliffe did used to cover for Steve Wright on TOTP2 back in the day, when the latter was on holiday.
Steve Wright didn't do the Christmas 2009 edition either - maybe he's decided to call it a day? (Mark Radcliffe narrated, in case anyone doesn't know - he seemed to carry on much as Wright did, rather than put his own stamp on it)
