I doubt the Stig driver is going to be sacked.

You really think they'd use him again after they effectively took him to court?

A lot of people (mainly on the Daily Mail website) are accusing Jeremy Clarkson of hypocrisy.

The man co-created the most successful television programme about cars ever. He presents it, he does the road tests and challenges, some of which take him on long-distance, long-duration trips away from his family and friends. Without him, the show wouldn't exist. I believe he deserves whatever he gets paid.

Ben Collins however was just an actor playing a part, albeit a very specialist part. He complains he was treated like a Dalek. Part of the appeal of the Daleks is that they don't look like men in suits, even though they are. You wouldn't actively on an episode of Dr Who reveal that, would you?

Top Gear returns tonight in a two part challenge in which they recreate the walk of the three wise men... well sort of!

I love the special episodes. I haven't watched the series properly for a little while but I make an effort to catch these - what? - twice yearly editions? Massively staged, yes, but wonderfully shot, funny and a nice insight into the wider world.

That's not tonight - that's the 27th. Tonight they're on a roadtrip up the east coast of America.

Sorry mis-understood the promo. Getting two separate specials really is something!

I don't think this is even a special - I think it's the start of a new series but the timing is a bit odd.

Edit:

According to this it is actually episode 7 of the previous series.

"At least we know the Stig's real name...... JUDAS ISCARIOT"

EDIT at 21:13 - that was one of the best episodes I've seen.
