So Top Gear can rip the French, the Welsh, the Scottish, the Irish, the Americans, the Germans, the Romainans, the Vietnamese, the Brazilian, the Canadians, the Aussies, the Japaniese, the Chinese...

...but mention the Mexicans and its different? It's all light hearted humour, the same way foreigners take the p*** out of the British

Funnily enough, I was watching a Top Gear repeat on Dave today. They were talking about a Fiat and made various stereotypical comments about Italians and their car driving style, amongst other things. Similar to the Mexican comments made. Being an Italian myself, I could have been offended. Was I? No of course not, because it's comedy! Just like how The Simpsons take the p*ss out of every single nationality and religion going. With British they go for the usual bad teeth, posh accent, tea drinking ugly mug stereotypes. Fine by me, I don't care! It's partly true Very Happy

These people really need to man up! When an ambassador to a country gets all bent out of shape because of comedy comments made on a BBC2 motoring programme, you know he has his priorities wrong!

I'm rather surprised at all the comedians jumping on the bandwagon having a go at the presenters for saying these things, weren't they all fighting against censorship against this type of humour only a year or two back?
