Laughing About the same number of people who live in the London Urban area. Eastenders cheers them up, and makes them feel good about living in/around London Wink

I'd be interested to see the top programmes by Audience Appreciation Index, rather than viewing figures - is there an AI for all programs or just a select few?

Anyone know Five's best ratings (of all time) for an original programme - no films, no imports, no football?

If you take away all those it probably would be either ( at a guess ) one of their interior design type shows or The Gadget Show.

Probably Naked Jungle , because although that billed itself as a 'game show for [non-sexual] naturists', it was poorly made and lumped in with all the late-night porn programmes. Most of the viewing figures probably came from sick people who just wanted to see them because they were naked. And apart from the fact that everyone was naked (including Keith Chegwin, the image of whom in nothing but a hat was probably used to terrify children into eating all their brocolli), there was nothing special about it - it was a tacky, cheap game show. Typical Channel 5.

Out of interest, how long does someone have to watch a programme for them to count as a viewer?

Considering a programme like Comic Relief, did 9.73 million people watch it from beginning to end? Or might some of those have only watched for three minutes? Or is it an average figure across the whole programme, or a peak figure?

9.73 million is the average between 7.00 and 10.00 on Comic Relief night, I think the peak was 11 million.

Edit: I have found the overnight breakdown, note that the overnight rating was 9.52 but the actual figure increase to 9.73

BBC1: Comic Relief - the Big One

8.00-8.15:9.7 (42.0%)
8.15-8.30:10.3 (44.6%)

8.45-9.00:10.6 (44.8%)
