It'll probably be repeated again next weekend. It seems to be in place of Hits@Home. It starts when thats supposed to start. It should be on till about 7pm.

For the record, Number 1 was John Lennon - Imagine

It's now 19:05 and they are coming to the climax of the 100 songs. I suppose now its back to Gareth Gates et al ad nauseum! Laughing

Number 2 was Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen.

Taht chart just looks like they've picked out 98 randomn songs and plonked them in. Obviously Bo Rap and imagine take up the top 2 spaces in these charts- we just have to forget than in sales terms, Barbie Girl sold 250,000 more than Imagine. I wish they could try conducting a proper poll to choose these 100 greatest ever songs, though it depends which group you're doing it to as most people will only choose music that they like from certain genre's & eras. So if the group who is polling are adults in their 40s adn 50s, changes are most songs will be from the 1950s & 60s full of stiff liek The Beatles & Elvis, and if they're teenage girls it will all be boy bands whose songs are still in the charts like Westlife & Busted- you can't really get a fair poll that's representative of music as a whole. They should try devising it with combiantions of sales, tiem on chart, peak positions etc... rather than doing it on opinion- it's probablly the only way to get a fair idea of what really are the 100 greatest songs. So if you devised music by what people bought rather than opinion, yuo would probablly find Imagine wouldn't even touch the top 10, however good the song is.

BTW, anyone that's interested in music, get the Guniess Book of British Hit Sigles- it's a really interesting read.
