Tonight's TV

Just heard an advert for Malteasers on Virgin Radio- basically pointing out the highlights from tonight's TV schedule for its loyal chocolate-lover purchasers.

Just slightly surprised that the 4 or 5 programmes they pointed out were all on either BBC One/Two. Odd because

1. The BBC can't have paid Malteasers for the gig
2. I would expect ITV would pay Malteasers for the gig for exclusivity. (Haven't they got a new channel starting today? )

The obvious answer is of course that the people at Malteasers saw tonights schedules and decided (like me) that once more ITV isn't worth tuning in to:roll:

But odd they didn't highlight Spooks at 9pm

They should have have Spooks on yesterday for Halloween!!!!

The same Maltesers thing also runs on LBC in London.

Was listening to my local ILR a week ago and heard said advert & Spooks was their programme of the evening...

I can't ever imagine them mentioning Corrie, don't expect another famous chocolate manufacturer would be too happy about that.

I've heard it on Real Radio in Yorkshire.

This advert is also played on Kiss 100.

They mentioned Spooks last week IIRC.

It's basically a TV highlights package which is sponsored by Maltesers. Just like the weather is normally sponsored by a company.

They're sponsoring the entertainment news from one particular company - so if you hear the ents news bulletin, you'll more than likely hear this at some point too.
