Rolling Eyes I'm sure they would if they could.

Not a bad show from what I saw, I quite like Jason Manford and it was very up-to-date (is it live?).

Jason Manford said on Richard & Judy last week that the show is recorded 'as-live', just a few hours before transmission in fact.

I think this proves there is a live audience and you can also book for tickets...

Well after a week of Tonightly..

Paul Kaye (Mike Strutter) has just proven that the humour on this show died in the 1990s along with the 11 O'Clock Show.

Jason Manford - very funny guy on 8 Out Of 10 Cats but proves he can't hold a show on his own.

I disagree.

Oh God, tonight's really was awful. Paul Kaye as Mike Strutter wasn't even funny - he was outrageous, but not even funny, so we can rule him out as the supposed "Ali G of the 21st Century".

Jason is the only good thing about the show IMO.

Did they bring Paul Kaye in as a desperation move? They devoted a fair bit of the show over to him and he isn't a new writer. What happened to the two ladies Watson & Oliver? They are shown in the opening titles but I only saw them once.

I'd agree about that. Forget about new writers, get some established writers on this show, make Jason host, ditch the co-host and Tonightly would work much better.

Can we just put FAQ U (think I got that right) back on? Same premise, much better execution.

Not only Paul Kaye but they've also got Sharon Horgan (ex-Friday Night Project Series 1) playing a "cleaner to the stars".

Ok, Manford's not all that bad but the sketches...please...they are just awfully pointless and unfunny. Paul Kaye's sketch last night was diabolical as was the so-called journalist. These sketches died in the 1990s for goodness sake!

Paul Kaye has done this character on another Channel 4 show and it wasn't that good then either. This show would work with established writers, and I know they want to give new writers a chance but I think there are very good writers out there that they just haven't found.

Paul Kaye's Strutter also had a show on Sunday nights on MTV One too I think.
