Well I can't wait for the day he retires from the Tonight show!

Firstly I hope that the show returns to its familiar name of World In Action (just like TV Eye reverted back to This Week, during the late 80's)

Secondly this is not the right showcase for Trevor - he is an out an out fantastic journalist and not just a mediocre presenter (which, honestly, he is poving to be with thsi show)

His name is the asset itself even though he only does the links most of the time.

He must be doing something right. Tonight is the most well known and highest rating current affairs show on any channel, and often gets 4 or 5 million against a weak EastEnders

The titles are hardly an improvement - I still think the original ones were best!

My impression of them is they are the kind of thing that would be used in programmes 20 years ago to illustrate how a TV programme in 2006 could look!

The trouble is that most of the time it's not 'current affairs', rather 'consumer affairs'. Achieving decent viewing figures when you focus on such easy-viewing, populist subjects as diet and debt (as it always seems to be) doesn't seem like an astonishing achievement.

The titles look like a mock that someone from this forum has created.
