I just thought I'd answer my critics who were accusing me of lying on the forum yesterday. I don't know if anyone saw Sky News today but it looked the same to me. The presenter line-up has changed but not to what I said, the line-up I reported yesterday is different because of holidays and illness.

Roll on 24th September you'll see!

To Asa and Steve and the others who knew I was telling the truth - respect is due!

But at this point all I can say is that News 24, CNN, ITN News Channel should be very worried because this will changes how television news is made forever!

Glad to hear it - this sounds very exciting indeed! It's just a shame I'll be leaving the country a couple of days after the relaunch takes place. Oh well...

To be fair though, I expect the ITN News Channel gave up worrying about being beaten by Sky a long time ago!

Indeed, though, it sounds great, and I for one can't wait for it! One question, though: Is the music staying?

Who'll be the first to know?

I don't think anyone so far has mentioned behind the scenes changes...

i.e. am I right in assuming at the moment Sky News is produced using a fairly conventional gallery? In which case, will the relaunch mean they bring in more automated systems.

And is Sky News ever likely to switch to widescreen?

ReLaunchNow - perhaps you could clear up the mystery of the new desk! When my friend saw the new studio last month (possibly before building work was complete), he said the desk was 'black and banana-shaped', which certainly confused me and probably lots of other people! Unfortunately he couldn't really remember much else, so can you tell us a bit more? Thanks!
