Does anyone know is Today with Des and Mel is live, because im looking on the ticket website, and it says the show is live only 3 days every week, and the other 2 shows is recorded - is this true? I thought it was live all week!
I think that it is live as Des sometimes makes little mistakes and Mel rushes in and corrects him .The other day they had a guest on promoting their new show and Des got the name wrong of the programme wrong . Surely they would cut it and do another take if it was recorded ?.
Well today's episode was live (pity the music act wasn't so hot - see the S Club 8 thread) because Paul O'Grady was able to get the word "shag" out on daytime telly, not that anybody noticed.

When it isn't live it is probably recorded as live as opposed to cutting and restarting all the time.
I was under the impression it was live Mon-Thurs and recorded on Fridays
It's live Monday to Thursday, with a recorded episode on Friday. Incidentally, the audience is real too (I always get the impression of canned laughter).
This information was given to me by Mel herself! Woo yay!

Well of course its real, you can see the audiance when they go to or from adverts and just make out the titles running on the screen.

You don't need an audience to prove it's real. You only have to watch Wipeout when it was presented by Bob Monkhouse to notice the same audience in every show as they thought that nobody would notice if they digitally inserted the audience!
