In the mid/late 80s I lived in what is now the Meridian/Southeast Today region. Now the thing is, I distincly remember a Regional News programme simply called 'Today' (as opposed to South Today, Southeast Today etc)
I can't remember what channel I saw it on, except that I remember Coast to Coast being on TVS so I guess it was BBC.
I was quite young so maybe it's my memory playing tricks but I'm sure I remember it
Today was actually on TSW during the late 80's, are you sure you don't mean that.
You are correct, TVS has Coast to Coast South East and the BBC had London Plus/Newsroom South East, so I don't think it could be mixed up with the South East.
Anyway, 'Today' was definetly on TSW during the 80's, so thats probably what it is.

Well that's a possibility, with the one problem that I lived in West Sussex, well outside the TSW region and couldn't possibly have seen it. I'm still confuzzled but thaks for trying!

My Dad (who I don't live with, but we live in the same city) has two TV aerials - one for YTV and another for Tyne Tees - even though YTV is our official region. I think that's how you could get TSW. So try to find out if you can get Carlton Westcountry from West Sussex.
I don't live there anymore but I'm quite sure you can't get it. hanks anyway. Thames Today? more likely - some of our relatives were in the London region - maybe I saw it at their houses?
But only if it was still going by about 1985

Glad to help. TV Room has no details about Thames News at all - if you find out about Thames News in 1985 (i.e. What it was called) please tell us!

All I remember about Thames News (mainly because I rarely watched it) is in the early 80s when Francis Wilson used to do the weather, until he left to join Breakfast Time in 1983. Thames News was definitely still going under that name until they lost their franchise at the end of 1992.
I didn't realise Round the Regions had closed down - pity, it was a very good site!
